It’s the same in Europe. I think the main problem comes from our financial system. Governments add to the problem by not doing anything about it, only making it worse. I’m in a decent financial position, but even if I wanted to move, it’s tough. I live in one of the cheapest parts of the country. But it would take almost all my savings to get a decent mortgage. I’m currently living in a cheap rental place. If I would upgrade to a better rental place it would be double the rent and more than paying mortgage. Totally agree on electric cars. They’re expensive. And the people who will have a hard time affording one also lack the infrastructure to load their car. While rich people can easily afford it, live in a big house with solar panels and have a garage to load their car. At my work, they even made dedicated parking spots with loading poles for executives… Supermarkets are fine at the moment. But prices are rising. This could be a permanent raise again and cause huge inflation. I assume I personally will be fine in the future. But I feel sorry for younger working class people. Governments not doing anything about it makes me think it's intentional. Governments could stop these big companies from buying up properties but they won't. They could also prevent foreign investors from purchasing. I read that rich Chinese investors bought a lot of property up in California and then they charge an arm, leg, and a kidney for rent. And then people either have to live with a ton of roommates, their parents, or in one of the many tent cities that California has. When you rent in your country do they go up in rent every year? I know someone that rents an apartment and they were going to increase her rent payments. To get around it she had to pack up her stuff in a uhaul truck then resign the contract, and then move her stuff back into the same apartment. The whole rent vs mortgage is definitely a rock and a hard place for most people. And wow the executives at your job having the charging stations is just a visual representation of the class divide. Yeah. The government and rich people go hand in hand. Rich people help politicians get into office. In return politicians don’t make laws to hurt the rich. And when their career in politics is done, they will get a job at a big corporation. It’s true that foreign people invest a lot in the US. That’s worrying, because many made a fortune in their country on shady businesses. New York is also loaded with foreign investors. Yeah, rent goes up pretty much every year. They call it a correction for inflation. It’s not by much, but it builds over the years. I’m living here for 15 years, rent is up 25% over that time. At the moment I’m staying put. Mostly because the housing market is so overvalued. But you’re right. I don’t see it coming down soon. It will probably take another housing crash to come back to reasonable prices. In retrospect I messed up not buying 10 years ago.

I know people of every generation have always thought of the politicians and elite as being corrupt, but this wealth and power grab they are doing currently is so blatant. Do we really expect them to limit themselves and sacrifice their wealth to do what's good for the majority of the people? That's never going to happen unless people force it. I agree with what Sydney said a few posts up that there's going to be a revolution. Since it'll globally combine people from a lot of walks of life - both middle and poor, liberal and conservatives, etc it'll be the biggest protests we've seen in modern times. Hopefully you'll get another shot at buying a house if a housing crash does actually occur.

What really happened to 32 year old actress Britney Murphy? Why did she die? Did her husband and mother have anything to do with it? I don't know anything about Britney Murphy but if she died under suspicious circumstances my immediate thought is the husband somehow did it. That is the theory by some but the strange thing is he died one year after she did.

I live in California and I live in a mobile home because my husband and I did not want to pay over two thousand a month for a tiny apartment. As it is we have have to pay a thousand in space rent and the increase it every year by 1% to 3% We sure as hell could not afford a traditional home. We were lucky to get this place. Our mayor keeps promising to build more affordable housing. But afordable to whom? Not the poor working class. And the government officals wonder why we have a huge homeless problem in California.

That's some freaky stuff. Apparently her husband married her really quickly which is always a red flag. Her husband seemed very creepy and she was warned by her friends about him being a con artist but her mother encouraged the relationship. He had her addicted to drugs. The mom has to feel very guilty about it.

Yeah California living is rough. It would make no sense to spend that kind of money on a tiny apartment. When I was a student my student one room apartment was $1400 a month and I thought that was crazy. Your mayor will end up making it more affordable to rich foreign investors and big corporations so they can rent it out to the poor working class.

Also mom must feel guilty because she could have taken her to the doctor long before she died. She had been sick for weeks.

I could believe the Hollywood humiliation ritual thing. This whole Nick Cannon situation doesn't make sense given that he was a normal family man prior to his Jewish scandal.

I don’t follow any of this. Okay so there's a rumor that in order to become famous in Hollywood you have to be blackmailed and have dirt on you (like all the celebs that supposedly visited Epstein's island could be blackmailed). Sometimes it comes in the form of public humiliation or it could be some form of private humiliation that's later revealed to the public if you go against whatever the agenda the elite is promoting. People say that the whole Taylor/Kanye/Kim thing is an example or the Will Smith slap, Michael Jackson's legal troubles, or Tiffany Haddish's recent scandal. About 2 years ago Nick Cannon made remarks that people viewed as anti semitic and he got a lot of backlash from that. Prior to this Nick Cannon seemed like a normal family man. He had his 2 kids with Mariah and he spent time with them. Now flash forward to today Nick Cannon is getting women pregnant every month. I think he has like 12 children now. I feel like if he was the type of man that would be like that he would have been like that in his past so why now? It could be a coincidence but that's the boring answer. It could be that he's being blackmailed into performing a stereotype as part of his humiliation because the elites were mad about his Jewish statements.

I suspect Apple is intentionally jamming my iPad because it’s slightly older and they want to persuade people to buy a new one. iPad sales have been plummeting recently. Wouldn’t be the first time that they play dirty.
