Agreed, Both Betty and Inez(?) deserved so much better. The only reason I don't completely hate James is that, at least he actually apologized. I still don't think him and Betty should have gotten back together but, maybe with time they could have been friends. The other girl (once again, there is debate as to whether she is Inez or not) deserved to meet someone who didn't treat her like a secret and was proud to be with her and, you know, was faithful. That's my take at least.

James is such a jerk, cheats on Betty, blames it on Inez who deserved better, calls Betty’s friends stupid while trying to win her back... I would have thrown James’ cardigan in the trash

While we're on the topic of the teenage love triangle, I have the hottest take. What if the triangle is a re-telling of sorts of the Joe (Jonas)/Taylor/Camilla Belle triangle. I mean Joe kind of did kind of blame his cheating on Taylor for a bit there....and Camilla Belle deserved better and was treated as "the other woman" by the media when she was only a few years older at the time AND if it is based on that (only set in a normal teenage predicament and not the whole teenage fame lens) then the little invisible string reference to Joe kind of brings it full circle.

That's my take at least. I think she's a different girl to Inez, since there's suggestions that the august girl was a summer romance and Inez is a girl at their school. But yeah, they both deserve better. James was dumb, but he's 17 so it's a little bit more understandable because we learn by making mistakes. Obviously cheating is a pretty huge mistake, but yeah he did sound remorseful about it so I think he's learned his lesson.

The lyrics for 'The Lakes' song: I'm so happy it's about the Lake District. That's my absolute favourite place on earth so I can't believe Taylor wrote a song about it.

I actually think the lakes might be my favourite song on folklore, and not just because I have a personal link to it. It's the great mix of poetic lyrics, cinematic production, and her voice sounds so smooth that it's hard not to love it.

I love the language and imagery she used and just the message of the song, it’s perfect. It definitely resonated with me.

I've been thinking about a post on 'Reddit' a lot since I read it a week or so ago about how 'Peace' could be related to by fans about anxiety/disorders/etc.. I will always have anxiety unfortunately.
"And it's just around the corner, darlin'...'Cause it lives in me..."
"But the rain is always gonna come if you're standin' with me..."

I think it might be one of her best songs ever.

'Folklore' has grown on me quite a bit since it was released and I've found I've had to listen to most of the songs more to like them more. But I still think as a whole I prefer 'Lover'.
