Since a lot of people are scared and bored right now I figured we could make a playlist thread to calm frayed nerves. Put songs below that calm you down!

I find that classical music gives me a sense of calm so, right now, I'm listening to this.

Great idea Sydney! Here's one. Modern music with a classical touch.

Here's one with a story! One of the first musicals that really got me into musical theatre was "West Side Story". I remember at the time my sister was in a musical theatre class and I believe I was still in ballet but I was so fascinated with her dance class! I remember her teacher had chereographed a dance to "America" from the musical so I decided to check out the musical and I'm glad I did! Coincidentally at the same time I also had a growing interest in "Romeo and Juliet" and "West Side Story" being a retelling of it, the timing kind of worked out well. It was really one of the first musicals I really fell in love with and I don't think I'd be as much of a theatre fan if not for it. Although when I was younger, I didn't pay as much attention to this song as I did the others in the show ("I Feel Pretty" is still a BOP for the ages), This song, "Somewhere" is one I really grew to love as an adult. It's definitely a song I listen to when I need a boost of hope. Which makes it a great song for the current time. Ben Platt did a beautiful version of it at the Grammys a few years ago so I'm posting it but I'm also going to post the one from the movie. If you guys are looking for something to watch then "West Side Story" is definitely on my suggestion list. It makes me sad that the current broadway revival of it is...well...not great but, there are so many other versions of the show that are wonderful and the movie is a timeless classic (even if looking back the casting choices are a bit controversial but, the 70's were a very different time). Anyways, enjoy!

A lot of the music from Steven Universe is very atmospheric and calming. The show it's self is one of the best shows of the 2010's and I personally believe that Rebecca Sugar, Aivi Tran and Steven “Surasshu” Velema, have just created the perfect, dreamy soundscape for this show. I think one of the songs that have really gotten stuck in my head (from this show) this week is this one. It's very short but I think it's very topical to how a lot of people are feeling right now.

Honestly, I'm so thankful for Hayley Williams releasing the second part of her album on a weekly basis so we have something to look forward to.

I just wanted to say that I just listened to this and love it so so much Hayley Willams/Paramore are my favourites (other than Taylor Swift) and Hayley’s solo work is so different than all the stuff she did with Paramore and it’s so nice. If you like this song than I’d recommend you check out the other songs she’s released. I think this song and Cinnamon have been my favourites so far!
