I looked into buying something from the collection with that code, but it’s just not worth it’s value in shipping to me because I don’t really want it. I don’t want to or can’t buy the whole collection I guess and so the only thing as for what is on it that I didn’t get was the BMAs rehearsals but I don’t know, it doesn’t really make any sense to me for that to even be on CD and vinyl??? Maybe there’s something juicy on it, I don’t know. I could buy just the download and it would be like 97 cents but at that point I could probably just end up streaming it right?

It’s good to know the store is still accepting promo codes though, I was getting worried that it was a thing of the past XD

If they're going to have pretty high prices for merchandise we deserve promotion codes even some times.

So literally someone on my instagram said I had no right to say what’s fair or not about scalpers buying and hiking the prices up 95% and taking advantage of us and Taylor.
and I quote…
That is exactly what is written word for word…even if the first few words make no sense.
My original post I said.
My post was talking about scalpers selling the signed ME! single for $215 way before they even have shipped, which IS taking advantage of fans and Taylor.
My reply to him…ok I may have snapped a little…because obviously he can’t read.
So I am starting to think maybe this guy was the one selling it and he got called out for it.
I don’t care what people have to say about my post..What I said was the truth, if you don’t like it then just simply leave. (I posted this on my tumblr)

I’m sorry for all of you that weren’t able to get a signed copy of the single! I must have been lucky cause I had seen her post on Instagram minutes after she had posted it and went right over to the store and paid for a copy, and it’s so stupid for the scalpers to be jacking up the price for them whenever they get their hands on it since it won’t even be available for a while yet since it said it would be shipping in like 12 weeks or something or least I think that’s what I read when I ordered it.

The reason scalpers can do it is because there are people stupid enough to buy it for that much. If it's for sale for $5, then don't pay $105 dollars because it's not worth it. You can also say this about Taylor's 24 hour exclusive merch sales right now. It's just a cash grab. Not everyone in the world can afford to buy something every day. But if you slap the word "exclusive" on it and call everything "limited edition", someone somewhere will fall for it and will overpay for it.
For example, NOWHERE IN THE WORLD should a sweatshirt cost $65 or more. Its been awhile since I've worked in that industry, but last I knew a plain sweatshirt straight from the factory costs like $10 for a good quality sweatshirt. I may be off. I know tshirts are super cheap.

I feel everyone's pain and frustration. It sucks that it doesn't reserve a copy (or copies if you bought multiples) when you put it in your cart. Like how Ticketmaster will temporarily take your tickets off the site and give you like 5 minutes or however long it is to purchase them before they go back out. I wish they had done something like that with the signed CD. I also wish they had done a limit one copy per customer thing.
BUT, I have hope they'll do something like this again. We all know that wasn't the only signed thing they'll release. I still can't believe it was only $5...

I guess I was lucky too as I was looking on my laptop to take screencaptures and save pictures of the new merch from yesterday and I must’ve looked right after they released and then I saw it and was happy it was $5 each and I bought them almost immediately. I just had to figure out which of my two $50 prepaid gift cards I won from my local country radio station had the full amount left on it still as I used the other for books a few weeks ago and it said declined twice for the one I tried and then I checked the amounts on them online and I had been putting in the card that had $8 left on it so I put the other in and it worked. I’m surprised they went this fast. It would have been nice to know exactly how many minutes they lasted as it was less than an hour I’m pretty sure. I would’ve thought they would’ve lasted until before midnight or so but no, scalpers had to swoop in and take a lot of them. I wonder how many were sold.

I don’t know how the online store would ever be able to tell scalpers from fans. A way to prove that you’re not planning on making a profit from it. Of course they’ll take anyone’s money so the online store will probably never change their ways of selling things like this.

YAY, we finally get a break from new limited edition merch drops every single freaking day (HOPEFULLY). I never would have suspected or hoped that there would be limited edition items only available for 24 hours 6 or 7 days in a row. It would be different if they dropped them each day but they were available until they lasted (not limited edition).

I was going to post that I think it would be a good idea if we all send a message to customer service’s email asking them to bring back all the limited edition merch. I sent one a few days ago and they answered and they said thank you for the feedback so hopefully they listen. I said how unfair it is to have limited edition merchandise available for only 24 hours.

It's basically saying they're catering to rich fans because they know they can get everything. (I'm not the only person to notice this) it's highly frustrating.
