This is 100% inspired by Sydney’s thread but I don’t want to hijack it
You can all use this thread to discuss Christmas card plans if you’d like, but here’s what I mean to say...
I think exchanging Christmas cards is a great idea, and although I can’t receive any due to being #Grounded and all, I would love to send some
I was thinking I would just send whatever ones my mom picked out this year, but I think I decided to make some! I made my mom a crocheted Valentine’s Day card this year so that’s where I’m coming from...
I just need some information from you! XD
For one, I obviously need your address, so if you’re comfortable sharing it, PM it to me.
2, do you want a knit card, crochet or I guess the one my mom picks out? XD the knit card might not work, just an idea, so if that one falls through you’ll get crochet. If it all falls through you’ll get a generic card XD
3, international people! XD I don’t know how this works really, so I might need some help to make sure your card gets through...
I Googled it, and it looks like it’ll take three forever stamps from my country to send it international. I’m not sure though, so if you have information on this let me know... I want to make sure your card gets through, I’m not putting a return address on it because I can’t have it be returned to sender unless I want my parents to murder me XD
An international stamp which I can’t get I don’t think costs $1.15, so there’s actually a little extra postage using three 47 cent stamps I think. That said, these cards will be quite a bit thicker than a a regular card, it’s a layer of crochet with card stock, so! Would three stamps be enough?
For people in the states, do you think one stamp would cover that? I’ve sent a lot of letters and stuff that were kinda thick with just one stamp, so I don’t know...
I think that’s everything XD
I need to start work on this ASAP so having a list of everyone I need to make cards for would be great. It might take awhile to make each card and then I have to put them under weight for awhile so they’ll be flat. Plus I might have to send them early or late XD
Keep in mind this could all fall through so try not to get your hopes up too much XD but I’ll try my best to get the job done. Anyone who can’t receive cards in the mail like me, just let me know and I’ll figure something else out for ya’ll
Merry Christmas!
